Wharram Catamaran
“The historic catamaran is the workboat of the Polynesian Pacific.” These catamarans are designed by James Wharram and can be found sailing oceans all over the world. The plans are purchased and usually built by DIYers.
This minimalist 30’ boat was built from the ground up with a few amateur builders and the help of a master Shipwright. The craftsmanship was tested while sailing 4 days across the Gulf Stream. This is backpacking on the water!
