FAQ
What kind of vehicle is that anyway?
A first-generation 1973 Pinzgauer 710k!
Built by Steyr-Daimler-Puch out of Graz, Austria and designed for the Swiss military. (Steyr-Puch also produced the iconic G-wagon for Mercedes-Benz.) There are hard and soft-top Pinzgauers in 4x4 and 6x6 models all following a unique foundational design. This model was used predominantly as a radio and communications vehicle, while the soft-top was for troop transport.
It was designed to climb steep mountains and navigate very challenging terrain and was named ‘Pinzgauer’ after a breed of Alpine horse.
Approximately 27,000 Steyr-Puch Pinzgauers were ever made and in production from 1971 to 2007.
How did you find it?
From the Godfather, who makes galactic space sounds with an electric flute, and a man who builds Animatrons and stages for magicians.
